Apu Lodge is a charming bed and breakfast with 9 rooms located at the base of Apu Pinkuylluna, a sacred mountain in the town of Ollantaytambo. It is a 5 minute walk down a pedestrian cobbled stone street lined with a water babbling aqueduct, quiet and peaceful, away from the noise of the town square. There is no access for cars. Staff from the lodge will be glad to assist with your luggage from the town square.

All rooms have stunning views of the town and surrounding mountains and are furnished with simple elegance.

The comfortable queen-sized beds have down duvets, the modern bathrooms have excellent hot water and the walls feature artwork from local artists.

The rooms and studios are suitable for single, double, twin, triple or family occupancy.

The guest lounge area offers wifi, internet, book library and swap, teas and filtered water available all day.

Outside there are hammocks and chairs to relax in and enjoy the garden.

On chilly days we can light an open fire.

Your English speaking host and her team strongly promote sustainable tourism for the local communities and offer excellent advice to create a Sacred Valley experience. Ollantaytambo, the living village of the Incas, is on route from Cusco to Machu Picchu. Visitors to Machu Picchu board the train at Ollantaytambo train station for a short journey (less than 2 hours) to the famous Inca site.

The lower altitude and peaceful atmosphere of Ollantaytambo make it an ideal place to base your stay, where you can relax, experience this unique and picturesque town and view nearby attractions such as Machu Picchu, Salineras, Maras, Moray, Pisaq, the Inca quarries, Pumamarka and communities of Huilloc and Patakancha.
