Machu Picchu (Important changes as of July 2017)

As of July 2017 all visitors must enter the site with a guide. Guides can be organised beforehand via an agency or you can hire one directly at the entrance gate.

There will also be new restrictions regarding ticket purchases with only half day tickets available for either the morning or afternoon with no re-admittance allowed. Tickets can be purchased online at www.machupicchu.gob.pe – if you have difficulty with the site please let us know so we can recommend an agent to help you purchase tickets.

With regards to Wayna Picchu and Machu Picchu Mountain, procedures will remain the same as before, with two time slots available for admittance.

In addition, at the time of writing this, for those people entering the site on the second day (additional ticket required), visitors can enter the site without a guide presenting previous day’s ticket and those with afternoon entries are allowed in at 11am.  Please note that this may change.

If you require any further information then please get in touch.
